Pastor Tim is our lead Pastor at Wesley. He is a Taiwanese-American of Chinese ethnicity. He was born and raised in Houston, Texas and graduated from Seven Lakes High School in Katy, TX in 2009. Although Pastor Tim grew up in a Christian family attending Houston Christian Assembly; he was born-again into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ at 15 years old while attending a youth summer conference in San Marcos, TX. Following his call into ministry, Pastor Tim attended the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL; graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies in 2013. During his time in college, Pastor Tim received an abundance of ministry training at the Cicero Bible Church. During his senior year of college, Pastor Tim met his beautiful wife, Felicia, through a mutual friend. After college, Pastor Tim attended seminary at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, IL. He graduated with a Masters of Divinity degree in 2019, and his wife graduated from Trinity International University with a Bachelors Degree in Business. Pastor Tim was the youth pastor here at Wesley Church in 2015-17, and he served as the assistant and interim pastor at Hillside Free Methodist Church (Evanston, IL) from 2018-2021. In August 2021, Pastor Tim was ordained as an Elder in the Free Methodist Church, and he has been serving as the lead pastor at Wesley Church since September 2021. His beautiful wife Felicia is a Mexican-El Salvadorian-American who currently works as a paralegal — helping people in Illinois lower their property taxes. Their adorable daughter, Nayliah Cien Huang, was born on Ash Wednesday — March 2nd, 2022. Pastor Tim and Felicia love to play sports, travel, and try new foods. They love to share God’s Word with people like you and me, love to do work projects, and they try to cook foods that are healthy and delicious! They gladly welcome you to Wesley Church in Jesus’ Name!
